Why use a book to reach children??

The Life of a Book

  • Unlike ads, books are read, word for word, pictures viewed over and over, and the life of a book outlives any other form of media today
  • A book is a trusted friend, a personal keepsake, a treasured item to have and hold.
  • Most children’s books are kept for several years and then passed on for someone else to enjoy.
  • Beatrice Potter’s classic “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” was first published in 1900 and is still in print today.
  • You will be helping to fight against illiteracy among children.
  • Your name on a book has longevity!

Creating a book with your message, or with a global message of values, morals, God or ecology, plants the seeds in the minds of children that they can dance to the tune of a different drummer. They don’t have to “go with the flow.” Messages of peace, love and a Higher Being stay in their minds for life. Can you remember your favorite book and the message it portrayed? Most of us can!

Reaching children through the printed word is the most effective way to get across to them the values that we grew up with in our generation. It is a hope and a plan that the next generation(s) will, in some way, find that path and follow in our footsteps.
