Illustrator's Guidelines
Journey Stone Creations, LLC is dedicated to producing excellent quality, excellent content, and excellent entertainment for children of all ages. We are currently in a growth mode and are looking at new products for all of 2007 and 2008. Please check our web site for up-to-date lines which we are offering.
If you choose to submit to our company, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Submit samples to danelle@jscbooks.com.
- Include your contact information, your artist bio (no more than one page) and a brief description of your style.
- Electronic Samples should be saved as jpg, tiff, or pdf - please do not send large files.
- If you have an on-line portfolio, e-mail the url to the address above.
- Reviewing your artwork does not guarantee that we will accept it.
- Tip: Lots of people can draw/illustrate nice pictures, the key is to be able to consistently draw those characters throughout an entire story. Try to reflect this in your samples, but do not be limited to one style. If you have several styles - let us see it. We like having a wide variety in our Illustrators.
- Most responses to e-mail queries are made within 10-12 days. If you don’t receive a reply, please resend your e-mail.
- After your art is reviewed, you will be contacted to let you know if we were interested in your art. At that point your art will be kept on file for review on up-coming projects or returned.
- Samples will be destroyed if we are not interested in keeping them on file for future use, unless you submit a self-addressed envelope with the proper postage on it for return.
- To send samples via the mail, please address envelopes as follows:
